MY NAME IS ARMANDO J. HUNG

My name is Armando Jesus Hung, and I am a Leadership Development Career Coach.

 

I was born and raised in the city of Newark, NJ, a true melting pot of rich culture and diversity. I'm the son of Cuban immigrants who fled Castro and came to America for a better life. 

 

Growing up, I had difficulty figuring out what I wanted to make of my future. I struggled with the pressure of other people’s visions of success rather than taking the time to stop (and celebrate) what I had already accomplished in my life.

 

Did I want to pursue a career in education, social science, or study in medicine? What would my family think if I chose a different career than what they expected me to pursue? What would my friends think of me?

WHAT DO I DO.....WHERE DO I START.....WHO DO I TURN TO

 

 

As with most college students, the constant pressure to be successful continuously brought up those questions in my head.  This kind of pressure can be very overwhelming without the right support system.

 

I went trough many changes in my career after I left college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Marketing, but my love for traveling and new experiences lead me to a career working for a major airline.  Working in their operations department, expanded my mind and increased my understanding of diversity and acceptance.  

 

A couple of years later, I went back to my degree and found a career in Education. Working with students, I mastered the art of listening, public speaking, planning, time management, and life balance.  Although I had a passion for molding young minds, I desired to keep on challenging myself!

 

As a result, I found myself working in sales and marketing with a Fortune 100 consumer goods company.  Through this opportunity, I've held various positions in my field over the last 25 years.  I'm actively involved in employee resource groups within my business which keep me up to date with current trends. I have also mentored interns all the way through management positions.

WHY DO I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU?

I believe that “change is good”. What fulfills you today may change as you grow and that's completely normal. Life is not a drill....but an adventure. Although it can be confusing and scary, you are not alone.

 

I continue to change every day of my life. My love for helping others led me to become a Leadership Development Career Coach. The ability to navigate and empower anyone to pursue a happy fulfilling life....is what I live for.

I believe that having the right people to guide and support your visions and goals impacts your future. As a result, I have associated myself with two high quality organizations that support dreams and visions. I support the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and the Boys & Girls Club of America through volunteering my services and donating a percentage of my coaching income.

I have been married for 28 years to my best friend and soulmate. My wife and I have two loving and caring daughters.
